Shepherds Cottage is located within the Lochcarron Estate in the Scottish Highlands.
The Cottage dates back to the early 19th Century and was purchased by the current Owner in 2014, providing self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people.
The property was completely rebuilt during a substantial renovation project lasting 1 year. From the floors to the roof, everything was replaced, and the Owner spared no expense on the highest quality and attention to detail.
Today, the Cottage is of the highest specification whilst retaining classic tradition, resulting in a perfect combination of ultra-modern with period design.
For those wanting to get away from it all in a unique and remote setting, Shepherds Cottage is one of a kind. Surrounding you are hills and lochs, the deer graze right down by the house while the river bubbles past. You can fish from the banks of the loch for native brown trout, and walk for miles and see nobody.
The only neighbour within several miles is Glasnock House (same owner / also holiday rental).

Master Bedroom downstairs with adjoining bathroom (full tub).
2 Guest Bedrooms upstairs (1 double, 1 twin), sharing a shower room/WC.
Downstairs is a large open plan living area with 3 rooms leading into each other. The dining space has windows and doors on 3 sides and is flooded with natural light, it leads into the spacious open-planned kitchen and through to the living room with central staircase.
The living room has a traditional wood burner, 50″ plasma screen, SKY TV package, DVD, iPod docking station/music system.

The Porch doubles up as a perfect dog room and well designed for leaving your wet wellies and jackets to dry (tumble dryer is in the porch). The outhouse storeroom is connected to the cottage and a good place to hand wet clothes on the rack there too.
In addition, there is a beautiful (NEW YR 2023) Summer House / Outdoor Pavilion with sofa, chairs, cushions and lovely décor, plus a terrace with outdoor seating – the ideal place for the kids and adults to have some extra time out from each other!

Pets
Dogs are welcome! The owner prefers a maximum of 2 dogs per group.
Porch area where dogs can sleep. Guests are asked to bring dog baskets. Dogs are not permitted upstairs.
