“Having just spent a week at Shepherds Cottage, I cannot praise it enough.
The cottage itself is warm, cosy and well stocked with everything you are likely to need.
The enclosed garden is fantastic complete with a lovely summer house which we did make use of.

The surrounding scenery is stunning.
We were lucky to see two golden eagles fly over us at the bottom of the garden, only saw them once but it was worth it.

We sat most days watching the deer around the garden area and beyond.

There are plenty of walks either from the door or a short drive away.

Shepherds Cottage is looked after very well, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and I can’t recommend it enough.
We and our two dogs will definitely be returning in the future, it is the perfect place for peace and complete relaxation.

Everything in Shepherd’s cottage was spot on, decor was to such a high standard we felt immediately at home with all these lovely touches and mod-cons. The Neptune furniture and accessories fit in so well and make a stay in this special location even more enjoyable. Loved all the artwork – feels a bit like staying in some sort of gallery 😉 The kitchen is very well equipped, the mattress in the master bedroom was so comfortable and we enjoyed to relax in the evenings in the living room. We have seen your photo-book about the remodelling of Shepherds Cottage and know how much work has to be done to achieve these modern style in an “old shell”. You have done another perfect job and you are a wonderful host! Even the weather was almost perfect for this time of the year and we used the only fully rainy day as an excuse to enjoy a whole day in the cottage. Was a nice surprise to find out that the Lochcarron Spar shop has some delicious breads (including our favourite “wholemeal chia power”). Only downsides are that we had to leave and that we did not made it to your mom’s gallery – but perhaps next time…would happily return! With best wishes,

We arrived at the cottage on Christmas Eve. The scenery on the drive up and surrounding area is amazing and the cottage is tucked away in a remote area. The directions were spot on and we found the cottage in amongst the snow covered hills and sheep! We had a ‘one man and his dog’ display one morning as the shepherd took the sheep uphill. The cottage has everything you could wish for and more. The log pile is well stocked for the fire which we had on every day. We had a laugh on boxing day when the pipes froze and we couldn’t get any water! We were brought fresh supplies and it only lasted for a day. There’s lots of good walks and lovely villages to drive to and eat out. Kishorn Kitchen will deliver freshly made meals that you can put straight in the freezer if you don’t fancy cooking. Definitely try the coriander chicken (which I’ve managed to get the recipe for!). It’s a real home from home with lovely touches and high end finishes. A great place to relax, unwind and kick back.

Shepherds cottage is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and really is quite breathtaking. The house really was a home from home and was very comfortable. We were most pleasantly surprised by the great Wifi – although thoughts of keeping in touch with the office faded as time went by! Thanks for a wonderful holiday – we will be booking again!

Thanks so much Rebecca - J and C Taylor

Rebecca & Lucy, thank you for making our stay at the cottage so enjoyable. You have made the cottage a fabulous, home-from-home environment and we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. Thank you

Best wishes, Darren & Sarah

We stayed with our young son and had an absolutely brilliant family holiday. We were initially worried about being so remote but loved escaping our busy lives and there is so much to do within close proximity. The house is brand new and totally immaculate with every small detail thought about. Thanks loads, we’ll be back!
